New Student System Project

Welcome to the New Student Information System Web Site

The new SIS implementation has been postponed until February 2008 due to some technical issues.

The Maricopa Community College District (MCCD) is in the process of converting the current Student Information System (SIS) to an innovative, more powerful system that will enhance effectiveness in the support of faculty, staff, and student access to MCCD data. This New Student Information System includes five modules that will bring new functionality to each of these areas:

  • Admissions
  • Academic Advisement
  • Student Records
  • Financial Aid
  • Student Financial Services

MCCD has planned this web based system setup to occur in four phases with testing occurring at the end of each functional phase and total system testing occurring at the end of Phase IV.

SIS Counting Down Time

The projected implementation time period is Tuesday, Feburary 19th, 2008.  Legacy, the old SIS system, will be shut down on the Feb. 15th, 2008, but will still be viewable until the all clear is given with the new SIS system.  The district team would like the system to be down for five days so any bugs in the cut over to the new system can be addressed and corrected.

SMCC is actively engaged in preparing for the implementation of the PeopleSoft Student System.  There is a College Implementation Team (CIT) responsible for planning and preparing for the successful roll out. If you have any questions or you would like to attend one of the meetings, please call Angie Montano, SIS Project Manager at 602-243-8124 or use the comment/feedback form at the left.
