SMCC Offers Free Financial Literacy Course for High School Juniors and Seniors (Released April 25, 2008)

South Mountain Community College has teamed up with the National Football League and the Joyner-Walker Foundation to help teach area high school students the ABC’s of money management….at no cost!
 
SMCC is offering a four-week Financial Literacy course in two sessions this June, based on the principles of Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad book and Cashflow system.
 
The classes are available free of charge to juniors and seniors at South Mountain and Cesar Chavez High Schools.
 
Class tuition, fees and books are all provided free of charge through the Joyner-Walker Foundation, created by pro athletes Seth Joyner and Andy Walker.  In addition, class participants will become eligible for a number of paid internships upon successful completion of the course.

The class will take place at the SMCC Main Campus, 7050 S. 24th St. in Phoenix (just north of Baseline Road.)
 
The four-week class will be Mondays and Wednesdays, from June 2 to June 26. Two sessions are available: 8 to 11:50 a.m., and 1 to 4:50 p.m.
