‘I’ve Always Wanted To Do That!’ Community Education Classes of South Mountain Community College Help Thousands Achieve Their Personal Best
Hike to the top of South Mountain…take a beautiful photograph of the view below…download it onto your computer…and e-mail it to your pen-pal in Paris--complete with a description in French!
Sound like fun? South Mountain Community College’s Community Education classes can make it a reality.
This fall, the college offers more than 150 fun and interesting non-credit and one-credit courses for lifelong learners of all ages. Have fun and learn at 18 locations throughout the South Mountain Village area, including Ahwatukee and Laveen.
Exercise and fitness classes--such as Pilates, yoga, Tai Chi or golf--will give you the stamina you need to climb that mountain. Photography classes will teach you how to compose that perfect picture. Computer classes will help you save and share the results; and foreign language classes will teach you how to discuss it, whether in French, German, Italian, Spanish or Japanese!
Many additional classes are offered at fees ranging from $32.50 to $65. Classes run for a duration of three to 16 weeks, beginning in August, and continuing throughout the fall.
For a complete class schedule, visit http://community.southmountaincc.edu, or visit the SMCC Main Campus (7050 S. 24th Street), Ahwatukee Foothills Center (16233 S. 48th St.) or Guadalupe Center (9233 S. Avenida del Yaqui.)
