Shape your time and creativity with a class in ceramics, beginning Aug. 26 and presented by the South Mountain Community College Ahwatukee Foothills Center.

Mark Honaker will teach the open-lab ceramics class at Desert Vista High School, 16440 S. 32nd St., in Ahwatukee.  The class (#47527) will run from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, through Dec. 3.

Ages 13 and older may enroll, and all levels of ability are welcome.  Tools, clay, glazes, firing and storage will be provided.  According to Honaker,  students will have the opportunity to learn both Stoneware and Raku techniques.

Cost for the class is $225.  Students ages 13 and older may register when represented by a paying adult.
