Registration is now underway for more than 40 summer-session classes offered in Laveen by South Mountain Community College.

Most classes are accepted by colleges and universities toward graduation, and include the following subjects:

• Computers
• English and composition
• English as a Second Language
• Fundamentals of Writing
• Introductory Algebra
• “Speedy Spanish”

Cost is $65 per credit hour, with a registration fee of $15 per semester.

In cooperation with the following Laveen schools, classes will be offered at these locations:

• Arizona Lutheran Academy, 6036 S. 27th Ave.
• Cheatham Elementary School, 4725 W. South Mountain Ave.
• Vista del Sur Middle School, 3908 W. South Mountain Ave.

Most classes will be held between June 4 and July 28; some “Speedy Spanish” and ESL classes will be taughtin four- and five-week sessions.
