Registered Nurses seeking their Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing can get half way to their goal with a new program at South Mountain Community College.
RNs will receive 18 credits upon entering the program. Credits are granted for having completed a nursing program and for having an existing RN license in good standing in Arizona. Students may then transfer their credits to universities with BSN programs.
In addition to the 18 credits, SMCC provides classes that are convenient and affordable, and designed for working nurses.
Full-time and part-time programs of study are available, and students work at their own pace. Best of all, tuition for Spring 2008 is only $65 per credit hour, plus a $15 registration fee per-semester.
Classes are forming now for the Spring 2008 semester. For additional information, contact Kathy Smerko at 602.305.5608, or via e-mail at kathleen.smerko@smcmail.maricopa.edu.
South Mountain Community College is located at 7050 S. 24th St. in Phoenix, just north of Baseline Road, and is one of the 10 Maricopa Community Colleges. Advisors are available to assist in the enrollment process, at 602.243.8123.
