‘Serenata Latina’ will feature works by composers from five different countries. Get energized with popular Duo-Pianists Henry Rose and Kathryn Rood (Rose-n-Rood) as they perform “Serenata Latina” on Friday, Sept. 28 at South Mountain Community College.
The duo will play Latin Classics -- such as Bolero -- by composers from five countries: Argentina, Colombia, Spain, France, and the United States.
The performance, sponsored by the SMCC Music Department, begins at 7:30 p.m. in the college's Performance Hall at 7050 S. 24th Street in Phoenix.
In addition to Maurice Ravel’s Bolero the duo will perform Tres Romances Argentinos by composer Carlos Guastavino; Jaime León's Remembranzas; Danses Andelouses by Manuel Infante; Recuerdos by William Bolcom; and Danzón Cubano by composer Aaron Copland.
